The making of this back cover was chaotic. When I finished drawing all the comic and started to edit the comic to add the dialogs in english and spanish, I noticed that I did not do the back cover at all, I didn’t even had a sketch.
Because there were only a few days left before the jam I wanted to participate in ends, I decided that I would do a forest background, inspired by the forest in page number 7, and use the frisbee that I didn’t use on the cover to make a lunar cycle.
Because I didn’t have time to sketch the initial idea, I did it directly in the watercolor paper with a pink watercolor pencil and moved immediately to painting it. The whole process took me 3 hours, that was my most productive drawing sesion but I don’t recomend doing this because that was super stressful, hehehe.
La realizacion de esta contratapa fue caotica. Cuando ya habia terminado de pintar todas las paginas del comic y la portada decidi empezar a hacer la edicion digital del comic para agregarle los textos en español e ingles. Recien en ese momento me di cuenta que no habia hecho la contratapa, y que hasta ese momento no habia ni siquiera bocetado una idea.
Como ya faltaban pocos dias para que termine la jam en la cual queria presentar el comic decidi hacer de fondo un bosque, tomando de referencia la pagina 7 y usar la idea del frisbee que no incorpore en la portada pero sumandole la idea de que se pareciera al ciclo lunar.
Desde la idea hasta la version final lo hice directamente sobre la hoja de acuarela con un lapiz rosa acuarelable, y en todo el proceso tarde 3 horas. Esta fue la hoja mas productiva en cuestion de versiones y resultados, pero el estress de tener que hacerlo rapido para poder llegar con el deadline no lo recomiendo jajaja.
Today I finished the traditional part of the first chapter of “See you under the full moon” comic. I finished the pages 5 to 12 offline. A few days ago I showed the first 4 pages and after that I did the final touches to the others, and scanned to start the digital edition.
For the digital part I am going to use ClipStudio Paint, because when I researched about the comic making process lots of people recomended this program. I don’t know how to use this program yet so it’s going to be a real challenge. Wish me luck!
Hoy termine la parte tradicional de todo el comic. Las paginas 5 a 12 las habia terminado por fuera de las transmisiones de twitch. El otro dia ya habia mostrado como quedaron las primeras 4 paginas y luego de darle los ultimos detalles ya puedo pasar a escanearlas y editarlas digitalmente.
Para la parte digital voy a usar Clip Studio Paint, ya que escuche muy buenas recomendaciones de personas que lo usan para hacer comic. Todavia no se como usar el programa por lo que la parte digital va a ser un verdadero desafio. Deseenme suerte!
Today I streamed the colored pencil process of the forth page of the comic. For me is more difficult to draw with pencils than with watercolor or acrylic markers, so I only streamed one page.
When I finished the stream, I finished the other 3 pages offline. With that the traditional part of the comic is finished, so I can scan them and edit them digitally.

Hoy transmiti el proceso de dibujar la cuarta pagina del comic con polycromos. Para mi es mucho mas dificil pintar con lapices que con acuarelas y marcadores acrilicos, por lo que en vez de pintar en vivo las 4 paginas elegi hacer solo una.
Luego de terminar el stream, con mas tiempo, dibuje las otras 3. Esto marca el fin de la parte tradicional, dejandolas listas para escanearlas y editarlas digitalmente.

Today I streamed in twitch my watercolor process of the first 4 pages of the comic.
I started with a watercolor pink pencil to trace the sketches in the paper and then I started to paint with watercolor.
The watercolor I used is a 36 color set of the Van Gogh brand that I buyed in 2019, with that I mixed various colors to create the colors I used in the pages.

Comence usando un lapiz rosa claro acuarelable para calcar el dibujo de las paginas y luego pase a pintar con las acuarelas.
Las acuarelas que uso son el set de 36 de la marca Van Gogh que compre en 2019, con ellas mezcle varios de los colores para crear los colores que use, ninguno de ellos son el color original de la paleta.

This is the first comic that I write and draw, for this reason the process of creation maybe is a little unconventional.
To have a realistic goal I decided that each chapter should have 12 pages, because I felt that if it was longer I would never finish it. I also decided that I will draw with pen so I can avoid erasing and overthinking every choice, this way I could go faster during the idea period and move faster into a more finished piece .
The chapter that i sketch first was the chapter 3, and when I finished the sketches I feel the necessity to know more about the characters. How they met? for this questions the first chapter appear.
The first thing I sketched was the third chapter, and when I finished the sketches I felt the necessity of knowing more about the characters, how did Max and Trevor meet? From this question chapter one arise.
Considering that the story should fit in 12 pages, I decide that the first 4 pages should show Max’s “conflict”, introduce to Trevor and after that develop the relationship between the characters.
I was afraid that I would not finish the comic, because I never did something that was so long to complete, for this reason I added thing that motivates me to keep going, little thing that made me feel exited, made me laugh or have references to the 2000/2010. All of these things helped me to not quit and avoid the frustration if things didn’t worked as I planned.
Another oddity of this chaper is that I did’t started with the script, I draw the sketches and this process guide me trough the story. For this chapter I was insecure with my style to storytell and draw so I did 6 versions of it before I drew the final version.
In the next blogposts I will share the process of the first 4 pages and all the sketches of these that help me to draw the final version.
Este es el primer comic que escribo y dibujo, por lo que mi forma de crearlo no se si fue la mas común.
Para ponerme una meta alcanzable decidí que cada capítulo tuviera 12 paginas, ya que me pareció que si hacia algo mas largo no lo terminaria nunca. También decidi que iba a bocetar con lapiceras asi no me preocupaba por que los dibujos queden perfectos a la primera, de esta forma pude avanzar mas rápido con la etapa de las ideas y llegar a un proyecto mas concreto.
Lo primero que bocete fue el capítulo 3, y cuando lo terminé de bocetar senti la necesidad de conocer más a los personajes, sobre todo saber ¿cómo se conocieron Max y Trevor?. De esa pregunta surgió el capitulo 1.
Teniendo en cuenta que la historia tenia que desarrollarse en 12 hojas decidi que iba a dedicar las primeras 4 hojas en plantear el “conflicto” de Max , presentar a Trevor y a partir de ahi desarrollar la relación entre ambos personajes.
Como tenia dudas si podria llegar a terminar el comic por decaimiento de la motivacion (por ser un capitulo “largo” teniendo en cuenta que nunca hice algo que me llevara tanto tiempo) decidi que cada hoja tuviera algo que me entuciasmara, me hiciera reir o que tuviera una referencia a los 2000/2010. Todo eso ayudo a que no dejara el proyecto a medias ni me frustrara si las cosas no salian como esperaba.
Otra particularidad de este capitulo (mejor dicho todos) es que no escribi un guion si no que los mismos dibujos fueron llevandome al comic final. Para este capitulo, como fue el segundo que bocete (el primero fue el del capitulo 3), aun estaba muy insegura con mi estilo de contar y mi estilo de dibujo, por lo que hice 6 versiones antes de decidirme a dibujar las paginas finales.

This year I decided to participate to the sexy werewolf jam (https://itch.io/jam/sexy-werewolf-jam). After a few days thinking a story that inspired me to create a game I decided to participate with a illustrated comic.
I don’t know if I’m gonna finish it at time but I really loved the story and wanna give it a chance to exist.
In the future I’m going to blog about the process of creation of the first chapter of the comic. I planned that this comic have 6 chapters of 12 illustrated pages each one, so wish me luck!
Este año decidí participar de “The sexy werewolf jam”. Después de días pensando historias que me inspiren a hacer un juego, decidí participar con un comic ilustrado.
No se si voy a llegar a terminarlo a tiempo pero realmente ame la historia y quiero darle una chance de que exista.
En el futuro voy a bloguear acerca del proceso de creación del primer capítulo del comic. Planeo que este comic tenga 6 capítulos de 12 páginas ilustradas cada uno. ¡Deseenme suerte!
